I''ll also be going to the Leone exhibit (from Phoenix), probably in early August before the kids go back to school.  I probably can''t stay in L.A. long enough for both the Alex showing on the 23rd and the opening of the exhibit on the 23rd.

Wow,Chris's new book sounds like 240 pages of sweet, sweet honey! Can't wait to read it!  :D

According to Amazon, "the book accompanies an exhibition opening in July 2005 in Los Angeles".

I'd like to be in LA in July. It's only some 20 000 kilometres away from here... :)

Hi,

I just sent away for this - the latest Leone reference. Has anyone gotten
it yet? - if so, how is it?

I just received my copy, but have just started it.  Looks good to me so far.   The intro is from a curator from the Western Museum in L.A., where the Leone exhibit starts next week.  I'm going to see that in early August, will report back.  I also have Something to do with Death, and recommend that.

i have it and i love it. its a strange one, its half pics and posters and half interviews, but great interviews. Lee Van Cleef from an old alex cox interview. everyone the only disapointment for me was that their is no Gian Volante mention or interview.
enjoy.

That could just be cannon fire.

Thanks guys - I can't wait. As much as I love 'Something' I think my favorite
Leone book is 'Legendary Dream of America', it's gorgeous. You guys
have that one?

Oh my God :-[ I have been so out of the loop. I didn't know Christopher Frayling' wrote another book.  His first book, I couldn't find it for years as it was out of print. I almost stole it from the library but my mom got mad at me. A Leone exhibit? I didn't know about that either. >:( Canada sucks for anything Western. And an Alex Cox interview with Lee? Is that the Alex Cox from Sid and Nancy fame?

Yes, I have been living in a cave on a desert island. Please fill me in on all these strange things of which you speak.

Yesterday, the baby cat jumped up on my mantlepiece and knocked my copy of 'Once Upon a Time in Italy' to the ground; that tore off the covers, made a real mess of it.

I glued it back the best I could, and contemplated having barbequed cat for dinner....first my GBU mug bit the dust, now this....

It's funny how the cat chose such a nicely illustrated book!
