You know I don't remember if I've seen this in an interview or read it somewhere but the costumes of the SW's were so great and had such a big impact (which was part and parcel of the whole phenonena) because they had that Italian-Euro high fashion influence, Pucci, Cerutti, Armani, and others I'm sure. The big thing is that they had that historical base and looked correct, as if somebody just naturally threw their outfit togetner and achieved a "look".
