Just wondering which release of the OUATIA soundtrack is the best as far as sound quality goes.  If anyone has heard the different versions and can comment, that would be great.  I was looking at ordering the Japanese release but I''m not sure if it''s the best one.

The soundtrack for "Once Upon a Time in America" is an iconic piece of film music composed by Ennio Morricone. There are several releases of the soundtrack available, and the sound quality may vary depending on the source and format. exhibit of sorrows

The 2006 CD version is the best
version of the soundtrack
It includes everything that was on the previously released
1984 Vinyl/Cassette soundtrack
but also included two versions of a unused piece of music
and a 10min long suite which includes various small pieces of music
some which were used in the movie & some that were unused
