The other folk stuff (Dylan,Joni Mitchell etc)maybe the reason we were separated at birth but i really love Neil Young and have virtually everything he ever did.

Yeau don't you just hate having to spend money on anything other than SW dvds and beer!
I see you're a bit of a rock star yourself.I play bass in a (American style) folk band - and its not all that far from the truth what they say about us folkies being frustrated rockers!!

I think I prefer american folk to english folk though Banjo!

I've been pretty busy on the rock n roll front, which is why I haven't been around much.  I still haven't got around to writing reviews for The Mercenary and Execution!  A real slacker!

Don't worry,Marco,i'm not a fan of English folk but i do like some of the fast and furious Irish jigs & reels.
Great to hear you've got the Mercenary but i've never heard of Execution???

Well, I got Execution from our usual source, thinking it was Django Prepare for Execution.  But it was actually a completely different film.  It wasn't brilliant, but quite watchable.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062948/

1 Pink Floyd, Tom Waits, Terry Reid, Van Morrison, Warren Zevon
2 Some Generic Acoustic(first guitar real cheap)
3 A few months
4 not too bad yet

I play the harp a lot better... Ol' Charlie Musselwhite is the inspiration there

btw, happy b-day marco!

Harmonica: So, you're not a businessman after all.
Frank: Just a man.

Bit of a bluesman,eh?I like playing a bit of harmonica on the rack with the guitar Neil Young style-more melodic than Dylan who just huffs and puffs.I'm good at the melodies but hopeless with blues which i think requires a cross-harp technique.
I like a bit of Tom Waits and Van the Man every now and again but mainly their early stuff.I've also got Sentimental Hygiene by Warren Zevon plus a "Best Off".Oh Yeau i've got the Hindu Love Gods album he did with REM.
I've heard of Terry Reid but can't remember who he was lead singer of.I've never allowed myself to like Floyd because its my older brothers favourite and we've never got on-i know pretty stupid.
As you might have sussed my collection is extremely eclectic but i don't want to alienate my new bruv Marco by revealing any more!!!
