How's this for ironic - I think the actor who played guy callaway is ALSO Shorty Larson! ("sorry shorty")

Yes, that's him, but I wouldn't call his engagement in GBU 'acting', since he has (maybe) 0.25 second of screen time. His name is Jose Terron, an actor from Spain.

I always wondered whether or not Shorty and Guy were the same actor. Back in the old days I even used to try and pause the moment on my vhs copy where Shorty drops in GBU to check but could never get a clear freeze-frame! Thank god for dvd's.

Something strange that I've always noticed about Guy Calloway. When you see a close up of him right after the scene where Mortimer shoots his horse and he turns around (and the creepy second or two of music plays) he looks like an entirely different person compared to when he is staggering towards Mortimer saying "I'll kill you for this". Has anyone else ever thought this? I guess it must be the same person but his whole face looks entirely different to me!!

Finally where does Mortimer shoot him initially, it obviously isn't fatal but he seems to grab his face before falling down. He makes some pretty funny noises too and boy, is that kid dripping some sweat!

Nah, it's definitely the same guy. He just isn't making faces yet. I've always had a problem with his voice, though - he definitely seems more suited for a whiny, snivelling Steve Buschemi type voice than a gravelly tough guy drawl.

Is Jose Terron still alive?

Because nobody can confirm it, we can't be 100% sure, but looks like he is still alive.

Jose Terrón Peñaranda is described on Shobary's spaghettiwestern site:
http://spaghettiwesterns.1g.fi/actors/joset/erron.htm

I thought that his son made contact with the SWWB some time ago, and he was surprised that people were discussing his father. I also thought that someone on the SWWB was in contact with Jose Terron's son. I'm pretty sure Jose Terron is alive and well.
