One of my favorites is "Garnet" by Helena, mt.  every time the kids and i go back to see relatives in N.D.  we have to make a stop by there.  Afro

I need to buy a scanner so I can post photos I've taken of old western towns.

I've also shot all the backlot streets and all the western town sets in the various states.

There are even western town sets in England and Japan, but I haven't shot those.

Nice thread, cigar joe.
Let's resuscitate it.

I've had good luck with a digital camera and a small tripod (with no flash), I just place the picture against a standing picture frame or say a book propped up against a heavy coffee cup on a table then adjust the camera to match the slope angle of whatever you use to prop up the picture like this (camera  / - / prop) then use natural light and make sure you are not getting any glare.
