...The second and third time seeing it? When I watched it for the first time it ended at 3:30 AM and I was really drowsy and had a hard time following the story with all of the names, so the surprise with Max at the end really didn't have the effect it should've had when I watched it the second time through, which was when I was able to follow the story Sad

Though even if I seen it wide awake I'm sure I would've had a hard as hell time figuring it out since it's so long and if you miss a word two and there's confusion about who is who tor two you miss a lot.

First viewing I didn't like it much, 2nd viewing (with DVD commentary) I appreciated it but still didn't like it, 3rd viewing I liked it, 4th viewing I loved it.

Still don't think it's as good as OUTW though..

don't worry redyredn you're close from the truth: just see it one more time and you'll understand that OUATIA is MUCH better than OUATITW (even if OUATITW is perfect) Smiley

Except the scenes at the beginning I didn't have any problems to follow the plot and I saw really early how perfect this movie is. It's very well done, every question that turns up is explained later.
I think you can't just compare OUTIA and OUTIW because one is a western and the other is a gangster movie. One has brillant amtosphere, the other one has a exciting and complex story and they both are perfect in music, photography, etc.
However, I like OUTIW more because I'm more keen on westerns, but they both are great films!
