I found this bit of info under the trivia section for OUATIA at imdb.


Premiere voted this movie as one of "The 25 Most Dangerous Movies".

I thought it puzzling.  I checked it out.  It's actually an inaccuracy in the posting of imdb.  Wrong Sergio Leone and Robert De Niro film.  Once Upon A Time In The West was one of the 25 most dangerous for Premiere.  It actually would of been a compliment I guess.  The category is described as:

These are movies about which you could say, "That's Not Entertainment." They're not "rides" or "diversions." They are galvanizing experiences that place squarely in your face all the stuff Hollywood usually presumes you go to the movies to get away from. Films that rearrange your head, that challenge your bedrock ideas about life and love and the big sleep. Consciousness-expanders, in other words, but rarely in a pleasant way. Thank God for them.

I'd better not make the same mistake as Once Upon A Time In America then and show my wife my new DVD of Once Upon A Time In The West.  She now says she only really liked Fisful of Dollars etc because Clint Eastwood was in them.

Some of the films on this list are truly chilling. But for me, "Gimme Shelter" takes the grand prize--not only because it's true, but, even worse, because it's all REAL!

I start getting cold chills every new time I see the scene when the "Angels" invade the Jefferson Airplane set and knock out Marty Balin . . . that's when you know that the violence is really about to spiral out of control, until the 'Stones come on and all hell breaks loose.

What the hell is OUATITW doing on that list? It's the ultimate escapist fantasy. It's certainly entertaining, and it doesn't even remotely conform to the definition of "dangerous" they're using.
