  I know it's a bit of stretch, considering the movies were made only a few months apart, but did anyone notice at least a few similarities between Peckinpah's film and this one?  I'm sure some of them were coincidences, though I don't doubt there may have been many coincidences.

- The duster coats worn by two of the gang in the opening scene;
- The one gang member's "dance of death" as he was shot down in the street by the bounty hunters;
- The blowing up of the bridge from GBU (admittedly a bit of a stretch);
- The battle scene at the train station for some reason put me in mind of GBU as well, and the shot of Mapache's train pulling out of the station was almost exactly the same as the Union troop train with Tuco leaving the station in Leone's film;
- The flashbacks.

I dunno, this is a big stretch, but I'm just wondering what you guys think.

I seem to remember Peckinpah said while Leone didn't actually influence him particularly, the climate created by Leone and other SWs made it possible for him to make a film like Wild Bunch.
