This morning someone at school was listening to a local rock station, and for an advertisment (I believe) for a contest of some sort - they played the "Love Theme" from "Cinema Paradiso"! Shocked How cool is that?

Hey, Groggy, I don't want to come across as overly pedantic, but, How can an audio experience be considered a "sighting." LOL

On NBC's "Today" show this morning, while doing a segment on families of soldiers serving in Iraq, they played "Gabriel's Oboe" from "The Mission" (it was rather well-placed too).

That sounds like a good use of a Morricone score.

I've heard a Ramones live tape where they use the GBU title theme before shouting 1, 2, 3 ,4 and going straight into Blitzkrieg bop!!

well. I would like to see M.'s expression if somebody had the nerve to let him hear the Ramone's tape (that I've never heard myself).

They just had a UPMC commercial on during the Pirates game tonight and the music for it was the Main Theme from Cinema Paradiso! I probably wouldn't have noticed except I just watched the movie the other day. Shocked

As a follow-up to this, I heard the Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso in another UPMC commercial. They must have licensed Ennio's music.

I also saw a LeBron James shoe commercial recently which used Ali's Theme from Battle of Algiers.
