thanks Shorty,it was fascinating reading.I have 2 versions of this film taped from the TV-

the 138 version with part of that final flashback

the 154 version which has lots of extra footage but completely removes the flashback

I actually have the full-length flashback on a video called Musica Negli Oochi which consists of scenes from films scored by Ennio Morricone.The scene has a very different version of the main theme on it.

I managed to copy the 154 min.version onto a tape and add the flashback making it 31/2 mins.longer butobviously there is still missing footage!

Interesting stuff about the extra Ireland flashback concerning the smashed gramaphone.

And also a french viewer was pissed because the deleted "forced desert walk" was not re-inserted into the film. Perhaps the viewer is wrong about seeing that scene, or is he/she correct? perhaps. I have learned that never say "NEVER" when it comes to extra scenes in Leone's films.

Hopefully all these Scenes mentioned will re-surface again in time.
