The afternoon flick on Channel 4 today was the hilarious SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GUNFIGHTER with JAMES GARNER n' CHUCK CONNERS! I swear I haven't laughed so much in years. JACK ELAM'S LEONE LOADED punch line (also the last line in the movie) is a killer. I won't spoil it if some of you haven't seen it. Great craic. If you can rent a copy you won't be sorry.

I'm a big fan of both Support Your Local Sheriff and Support Your Local Gunfighter. Two of my favorites with James Garner.

Yeah, Garner is always great, and those are two of his best westerns.

Have always had a soft spot fer' GARNER. He's terrific in DUEL AT DIABLO (66); very funny in SKIN GAME (71) and stunning in a nifty little war thriller called 36 HOURS; also always loved the scene where BRUCE LEE trys to fell him with an over-the-top flying kick in MARLOWE! Have always wondered what LEONE would have done with him (role wise) had he lived (Sergio that is).

Another great James Garner film is "Hour Of The Gun" . Garner plays Wyatt Earp and he is one tough S.O.B. in this film. Check it out, I think you will like it.
