Guys,
I cant restrict myself from asking this question - after seeing the various ways of lighting a match in FAFDM i have tried those over ther the last 10 years and I  have *failed* everytime. Finally I had to succeed. So all I did is cut the "striking part" of a matchbox and stiched it somewhere on my jeans.  ;D
So now i was able to light a match from my *jeans* . But tell me please what kind of match stick is that which you can fire up from anystuff - be it a table or a  jeans or just a hunchback ... light please  :)

I did get off.

The box has to say "Strike Anywhere" and not "Strike On Box", Diamond or Dymond Match Company was one of the companies that used to make them, they came in a blue box, just the friction off any surface will light them, your thumb fingernail flicked across the top does it easily.

Tons of thanks to you.
On the basis of your keywords that is "strike anywhere" and "Diamond" I found this interesting  link -

http://www.emergencyresources.com/er_p11.html

Think I should buy one of those and try for real.  :)

Also this is an interesting article  explaining the difference between safety matches and strike anywhere matches...

I guess in those days they actually had only "strike anywhere" matches...

Wonder why someone then went ahead and invented "strike on Box only"...why would we need them????????

Just my poor attempt at some humor from Young Frankenstein.
I'll try to control myself.
