Lee van Cleef has had many names throughout the movies. Ones I can point to are
The Smoker
Reverend
Angel Eyes
Colonel Mortimer
Old man
"the one who can open the safe for you" -(this one is the funniest)
Sergent (and Sergent Angel Eyes)
Friend

If I missed any let me know.

If you count the FFDM tagline, then you can add The Man in Black

Iceman, as you state, I'm sure the name  ''Sentenza'' or a variant of it was never actually spoken in the film.
Like yourself, I've seen the name in various places, though.

Incidently, a number of years ago my attn was drawn to the book of the film and, although I didn't read it cover to cover, the above name occured regularly!

I have only seen it in the soundtrack for GBU. It's the song wher Angel Eyes is with Carson's girlfriend. I thought that was her name though it is very unlikley because it is a rather masculine name. Grin

I heard Sentenza (carries out the sentence) was in the non-English versions, carries through with the character/actor list, and is not in the English version (first time I saw it was in TV Guide listing back in the 70s.  And that Wallach and/or Eastwood came up with the name Angel Eyes for his devil eyes.

SETENZA IS USED AS THE CHARACTERS NAME IN THE ITALIAN VERSION OF THE FILM. SOME QUESTION WHETHER THAT IS ANGEL EYES REAL NAME(ANGEL EYES BEING A NICKNAME),

I asked about it on IMDb before I joined this site. They told me it was Italian and it meant "death sentence". So it seems to be more of a nickname, too. But I like the idea of it being his real name, however, I like to call him Sentenza.
