Why weren't the Rojo's susspisious of how the Baxters knew that the two soldiers were valuable to the Rojo's?

I'm watchin it right now and the thought just came to me. :D

I've always thought the whole set up with the dead soldiers was a bit of a silly invention anyway. I mean, it's weird enough that neither Rojos nor Baxters thought it was a bit odd two soldiers having a nap in the middle of a graveyard, but surely the fact that a gun battle erupts around them and they don't wake up is (excuse the pun) a dead giveaway.

It's class.

they may have been wounded and crawled there (a possible explanation anyway).

it's hard to beleive both gangs didn't know something was up. the 2 dead dummys didn't even seek cover after being fired on in both directions.

ahh but the dead have gottn joe out of tough spots more than once.  i remember a lot guys riding horses at top speed going from town to graveyard and back.

the plot reveals how ruthless and cunning joe can get
by diverting rojos/baxters in order to exicute his plan...
that is , until that wagonwheel broke.

I agree with that but how the only thing that is funny to me is how did the Rojo's not think if was funny that the Baxter's knew about the masacre.

Baxter and I think his son do comment about how suspicious the soldiers look, but they're unable to act on it due to the arrival of the Rojos.

Maybe Joe told them that the Baxters had a spy at the massacre?  ???

Or maybe they were just idiots and fell into Joe's deception the way he wanted them to? ;)

Sorry for the +1 year old thread bump, I found this interesting, but about the whole dead soldier setup thing and how they werent suspicious of them not waking up or whatever...being wounded is a good point. But what if the soldiers had some sort of very important note or deed in a pocket? They had no idea what to suspect, they were just following what they thought was a lead. As the baxters stated on the way there, they needed evidence.

As for how the Rojos didnt question the fact that the Baxters knew about it...I cant believe I didn't think of that.

i have that irking suspision.... it was joe who NAILED the baxter mansion back door shut sort of the way he  made sure, in GB&U, tuco was harmless as he concetrented on elevating himself from angel eyes by removing tuco's cartrages thus disarming a possible
threat.
