And there are folks on this board that just don't like Zapata Westerns they are just a bit too "message" and political  for them, they'd rather heap praise on albeit "stylistic" yet obscure, dopey, and inferior SW product rather than the very good Zapata's.



Well Joe I'm of both parties. I like the Zapata's and the dopey stuff  Grin I lean more towards the dopey stuff though.

Zapata westerns are pretty good but I like spaghettis much more. I don't mind some politics in westerns ( like OUATITW where the capitalists are bad guys ) but the politics must take a back seat to the main themes in the film. in other words, if you want to place politics in a western, put it way off in the background.

I must admit I have enjoyed most of the Zapata westerns that I have been exposed to thanks to members of this here forum but I do prefer spaghetti's.
