There's a new video game coming out for PS2 called "Red Dead Revolver" which apparently takes place in the Old West.  Looks interesting to me - and they use real Morricone music!

Spaghetti video game anyone?

Ive been following this game in its production for over a year. Capcom The big Japanese company were backing it from late 2002 but droped it last summer. It look like it was dead in the water...

Screenshots have been poping up all over the internet.

Rock star games (of Vice City fame) have now taken over the project. Not loosing any of its Spaghetti Western Mood...

PS2 & XBOX late spring time release

You must see the trailer!
it has Morricone's music for 'The Mercenary' piping out in the background. Its making my hairs stand on end.   Grin

OPM says that they're also going to use music from FOD and GBU.  Grin

Actually i don't think the Music is from the Mercenary.
Its a very good bastardization of his themes.
Fool me for a minute.  Shocked

The GBU music would be very cool

Cool   HA! HA! Amigos! not only am I a HUGE fan of Spaghetti Westerns ( well, movies in general really ) but I LOVE my Playstation 2! Rockstar have given us some kick-ass games; Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Max Payne and the ultra-violent-but-still-huge-fun MANHUNT, which I recently completed. anyway, I think this game will ROCK! I don't think that the music on the trailer is the final score for the game, I imagine it will have an original score. guess we'll know soon enough...

Attention Gamers!!!
There is a new game out very soon called Red Dead Revolver  inspired by OUATITW and GB&U. It is from the makers of Grand Theft Auto and is available on PS2 and Xbox platforms.
In it you play bounty hunter Red seeking revenge for the murder of his family. It has an Ennio Morricone soundtrack and looks ace!!
Take a look here:

Wow

"You are red... and this is the wild west" sounds like it was designed for me - it's not even like I play computer games normally. Might have to twist the arm of one of my playstation owning friends.

There's an obscure Morricone track included in this game, but the main theme is actually "Ballata per un Pistolero", the title theme from IL PISTOLERO DELL' AVE MARIA, composed by Franco Micalizzi and Roberto Pregadio.

hell this looks like a hella good game.

but it also is a complete rip off of the outlaw jose wales, which does annoy me. its not really based on GBU or any of the other spaghetti westerns, the only thing thats simelar is the guns and costumes. its more a rip off of the 70s westerns directed by eastwood

The cover of the game packaging did remind me more of Josey Wales.
