Once Upon a Time in America. Definitely. Even without Leone's himself final cut.

It's interesting to notice that no one regards A Fistful of Dollars as Leone's number one film.

OUATIA but hard to pick between OUATIA and OUATIW. In terms of great artistic brilliance these two are head and shoulders above Leone's others. In purely entertainment terms GBU is the best and you have to be patient when watching the once upon a times. But aesthetically, stylistically, musically and emotionally Once Upon a Time in America gets my vote as a hugely affecting work of art that manages to steer away from the hollywood melodramatics of that Leone taboo, the godfather. In my mind OUATIA is better. A wonderful 227 minutes of cinema. And the music? Leone has such a debt to Morricone. Shocked

For A Few Dollars More

Its very close to me. The first Leone movie i ever watched.
Its the the one in the middle of the trilogy. Has the best of both worlds.
Rawness of Fistful, like other Spaghetti Westerns in general
& More interesting camera techiques which made the man who he is, from Good Bad and the Ugly & post.

He made better movies.. but its my baby  Wink

Still no votes for FOD!  Shocked

OUATITW is leading the race at the moment, but GBU and OUATIA are not far behind.

OUATIA has the greatest story, the feelings in it are the most complex, as the narrative structure...

Morricone score is as great as OUATITW, GBU or FOD, even if it is different...
The camera work is as good as OUATITW.
Coburn is one of the greatest actors who ever worked with Leone... i can be moved by a simple smile from that guy...

OUATITW!
Leone really shows of his skills with this tour-de-fource of how to use the "scope".
And of the music, acting, cinematography and everything else is superb in this film.
GBU and OUATIA is very close, though...
