While watching that documentary on the IFC about SWs I noticed some were veeeery different from the regular desert-y ones about hard-faced bounty hunters. One in particular caught my attention, some movie about a guy who wields an axe and it takes place in a foggy-looking forest area. Is there any other stuff like that? The only other one I could think of(Which I'll be seeing for first time on the 24'th) is The Great Silence.

The Final Duel seems very different from what I've heard but I haven't seen it yet. Very surreal from what I've heard.

You...alone...a solllllllllllllll-i-tarrrrrrrrrrrrrrry man..
Mannaja came along pretty late in the cycle...in fact..1977 is now considered 'off the chart' for the heyday of Italian westerns...but it's true to its roots...recalls some of the grittiest & 'best of the rest'...& apart from the usual horrendous dubbing that SW lovers have become accustomed to...it's not only one of the last ones....but also one of the good ones.
Neat trailer-->

  For eccentric, check out Django Kill!  This was one crazy movie, like one long surrealistic dream.  I can't say I enjoyed it, but I would recommend it for spaghetti fans looking for an eccentric movie.

  Tomas Milian is good as "Django."
