Well, does anyone know?  I may not be a cunning linguist, but I do know for certain that he speaks 9 syllables in English.  I am 90% sure I know what he is saying.  Does anyone have an opinion or info. on this?

Maybe we're not supposed to know. It's like the "Just" video by Radiohead.

Okay, here goes.  I've seen OUATITW close to 100 times.  I saw it at the theater in 1969.  My best opinion on what the brother says to Frank is  "You sick son of a bitch....I'll show you."

I got back on those scenes, and worked on it, and know I know it all. He says exactly: "You're playing mostly unfair Frank, and I can't recall anything that I could have done to you or your family members that could allow you a revenge like this. I'm very upset by now, so we better talk about it later, and this rope is annoying me so much."
As you see, that's more than nine syllables  ;D ;) ;D

They say that the actor playing the role is not an actual actor but producer Claudio Mancini, who still works on important things (movies or TV-movies) for the italian national networks.

Bye and bye

I'll take your word on this.I also thought the bother would say "son of a bitch" on the basis of what I've watched.

On the new DVD's commentary Frayling states the brother pushes young Harmonica anyway with this feet, this matches up nicely your 'I'll show you' interpretation, maybe his brother pushed him away to show Frank he wasn't afriad to die. :)

Also Frank seems to say something too. When the camera is drawing back right when the hamonica is first placed in his mouth Frank's cheeks move alittle bit like he says something, but you can't see this face, you have to look hard though because you don't see it unless you stare at Fonda's head.
