Kermit was right! Look what I found freeze framing the "special edition" DVD.. (my apologies to Mr. Leone)
On the scene when Tuco goes to that town to kill Blondie and that fellow is yelling "Hooooray!" out of the doorway of his hotel there are these four horsemen with really big beards shown riding into the town.Knowing Leone's attention to detail and historical accuracy and the fact that every shot is planned out to perfection and with the utmost importance, I'm just wondering if those are supposed to be real historical characters from the Civil War? The way he puts an emphasis on them and the fact that they look the way they do I wouldn't doubt it.Also, about the two towns in the movie that get bombed, were they based on real occurances?
They are also in the deleted night scene where tuco arrives at the confed road block just as he com from the desertICE
