I have a nice widescreen copy of it and I say it is a fun comedy. I can see why some dont like it but I really enjoyed it. Lee Van Cleef is funny as hell in his comedic role(why this guy didnt go into comedy is beyond me). It is a fun little romp that doesnt make use of slapstick comedy like the other comedy spags do.
Gianni Garko as a dim witted gang member is also a plus.

I guess I went in with low expectations and came out really enjoying it. Perhaps I was surprised.

There is alot of good action scenes in the film as well. The western Ghost town that seems to pop out of nowhere is a wonderful action set piece. And there is a gatling gun!!!which is always welcome.

Although LVC just about makes it watchable theres no doubt its his worst sw other than Gods Gun.

This movie is bad and looks hacked to pieces.
Ah, that's too bad.  Great title, though!

I once saw a decent Lee Van Cleef spaghetti called Barquero which this sounds a bit like. Warren Oates was in it too which helped the movie quite a bit.

I see where your coming from. In Barquero LVC is a ferryman. But "Bad man's river" has little to do with a river. In fact by the late 2nd act the river is totally gone from the film.

Oh, never saw Bad Man's River. But Barquero was pretty good. The ending with the showdown across the river was cool.

Me too. That's why I rarely ever post anything that would spoil a non-Leone film. I hate it when people just give away an entire ending to a movie. The Great Silence I was thrilled to see because I knew it would be a great movie but furious that I knew how it would end. No surprise there.

the "best" in the sense of "most relevant to the plot" title for the movie is the Italian, which translates as "They just keep losing a million dollars".

Italian titles are always, at least from my perspective, the most entertaining when they're uncomfortably on the nose like that, or wildly poetic to the point where they have little bearing on the film at all.
