Italian titles are always, at least from my perspective, the most entertaining when they're uncomfortably on the nose like that, or wildly poetic to the point where they have little bearing on the film at all.

The main chars. spend basically the first 2/3s doing criminal stuff at various places along a river that runs through Texas and parts of Mexico, using a riverboat as their base of operations.  That kind of falls by the wayside in the third act, but it's still not quite as pointless a title as banjo makes it sound.  the "best" in the sense of "most relevant to the plot" title for the movie is the Italian, which translates as "They just keep losing a million dollars".

really?

I would say the third act is all about the battle.

I'm going to assume that's a rhetorical question.

you see...

every time somebody doesnt agree with one of your views you go rather hostile on em. Some may hide what they think about your comments behind one of these emoticons (  Grin  or   Wink  or even   Tongue  ) but I'm just gonna come right out and say it.

like what was the point of that response to Banjo?
who cares if it sounds repetative? nobody else is complaining.

pm to Firecracker from JamesK...

"yes I'm always hostile when mouth-breathers like Banjo are around"

---James

....................................................................................................................

these types of comments are exactly what I'm talking about.

what was the purpose of sending an insult towards Banjo to me? did you not have the gall to tell that to him yourself? what am I supposed to do with it?

real mature JamesK.

well Mr. K has now blocked me from sending personal messages to him. I guess the thought of a peaceful resolution frightened him (he would much rather argue I guess?).
Hopefully whatever Banjo said to him in the past can be forgotten and we can leave this nonsense behind us.
and hopefully mr.K will learn not to try and start an arguement for no reason.

I'm not used to reading about "having my face punched in" Undecided (true colours being shown here i think)
on this otherwise wonderful site no matter how provacative my comments were perceived about JamesK's Keoma review. He is of course entitled to his opinion about sw's but then so are the rest of us.JamesK as you've now deleted the topic ,for the record we ran a series of polls to ascertain the most popular sw's amongst Leone fans and Keoma i recall clocked in a top 10 placing(but i guess you missed this because you didn't have a publication to plug)-i rest my case. One other thing-my advice to you is to go out and buy a Joan Baez compilation Grin
Oh yes Mrs Banjo was very perplexed by the cowardly "gay lovers" comment .
Aggression, homophobia or any other forms of prejudice are not welcome on this site.

Bought this for $5.00. It's the british widescreen disc. I figured with all the mudslinging it receives, at $5.00 it couldn't be a total waste. After watching with another LVC fan neither of us could see what the hate is about. Not a great movie but still a fun little 84 minutes. The cast was great--Lee Van Cleef and Gianni Garko together! Then you had Aldo Sambrell and Eduardo Fajardo for the villains. Wasn't that Fernando Sancho as the mock priest?

There obviously was a bigger budget than was normally given to these movies around this time. Some nice matte shots involving the steamboat and the surrounding terrain. Maybe people can't except Van Cleef in anything but serious roles. I thought he did a fine job doing low key comedy. Like Bronson, it bothered Van Cleef that critics never took him seriously nor considered him a good actor. Here, he portrays a different kind of role and plays it well. It's a shame when an actor becomes stereotyped as a particular character (a character that is played extremely well) he is never accepted as anything else.

I probably would never have seen this if not for it being directed by Eugenio Martino who helmed the excellent horror-sci fi-action hybrid HORROR EXPRESS. The girls were beautiful and the ending was suitably humorous too.

A fun film. The funniest frist ten minutes I have seen in a very long time.

The well timed freeze frames are a hoot.

Like "Captain Apache", I can't see why people hate this movie so much.

Haven't seen CAPTAIN APACHE. Luminous had some of those for $5 also but now they've went back up to $20 which is better than the $27. price offered from xploited.

The xploited one has better quality.

Mine is a beat up vhs transfer but still watchable.

A shame Van Cleef was never offered comical roles more often.
You can tell he had a lot of fun on BMR and CA.

The Luminous disc of both BMR and CA are the same discs as xploited. When I got mine it's possible it was used as there was no cellophane wrapper around the box. Either that or they had an abundance of the titles and needed to get rid of them.
