I rate in my opinion most of Leones Spaghetti Westerns (SW's) as superior to American Westerns (AW's). So my Leone Lover's guide should have probably included all westerns, but since a lot of the SW's are not known here in the US and to me at the time I started the thread, I just made it concerning SW's and started with Howard Hughes "Pocket Essentials" Film Guide to Spaghetti Westerns as an outline.

So I'll start this new thread:

Here is a list off the top of my head of SW's & AW's that I'm familiar with and that I've seen recently, that I like and recommend. (note I'll wait for Duck You Sucker to come out in an R1 version before I add it. I've never seen it on the big screen and only in a who knows how much cut pan and scan, broken up by commercials TV version). Again as is the other guide the top of the list are all very good films and not seperated by much in rating. I'll add more, so some of you can jog my memory if I've left off any obvious ones.  We can also go into detail on some of the more unfamiliar flicks.

The Good The Bad And The Ugly
Once Upon A Time In The West
The Mercenary
Companeros
For A Few Dollars More
The Professionals
The Wild Bunch
The Big Gundown
Death Rides A Horse
The Great Silence
A Fistfull of Dollars
Hombre
Unforgiven
Red River
The Ox-Bow Incident
Viva Villa
The Searchers
The Magnificient Seven
A Bullet For The General
The Long Riders
Teppepa
McCabe & Mrs. Miller
My Darlin' Clementine
High Noon
The Bravados
Keoma
Face To Face
A Man Called Sledge
Villa Rides
Nevada Smith
Shane
The Gunfighter
