I like to see Henry Fonda on the screen, I think he's a terrific actor with a great presence.  I just saw 12 Angry Men and I must say, it's a great picture and Henry was made for the part, you can tell.  For the rest I haven't seen much films with him except for The Wrong Man and OUTIW of course, so which other films with him would you recommend?

12 Angry Men and The Wrong Man are both very good, indeed.

Another good one I'd reccomend is The Ox-Bow Incident. It was released in 1943 and it's a very dark western for it's time.

And if there was ever a reason to watch On Golden Pond, it's because of Fonda and Katharine Hepburn (I've always found it almost painful to watch Jane Fonda in this movie). This was also the only movie that got Henry Fonda an Oscar.

I also can't forget The Grapes of Wrath. A good movie. In fact, I think I saw the movie before I read that book.

He wasn't in a whole lot of westerns. Here are some others
Jesse James, 1939, Fonda as Frank James.
My Darling Clementine, 1946, Fonda as Wyatt Earp
Fort Apache. 1948 with John Wayne
Tin Star, 1957
Warlock, 1959
How the West was Won,  1962
Welcome to Hard Times, 1967

Pretty obvious topic, and it's probably been brought up before, but just out of curiosity, what is your favorite non-Frank role that Henry Fonda did?  I would have to say "The Grapes of Wrath", he was awesome in that.  Also "Jesse James".

Anybody ever come across HENRY FONDA in a very strange but quite terrific western called WELCOME to HARD TIMES 1966/67)? If I'm not mistaken, it also starred LON CHANEY JR. and a chilling performance from ALDO RAY, a non-speaking role as the unknown badman that steals the movie. Jaw-dropping stuff and very different.  :o :o :o

That's funny, hadn't read your post, I just posted something in the Off topic section about great opening sequences and I remember it having one of the greatest opening sequences I remember...
But I find the film itself a bit too weak, Fonda's wimpiness was getting on my nerves, I think it takes too long before he gets into action.  But nevertheless worth a watch.
