Afro Afro Afro   Yes! I simply adore GBU too, but I would probably give the #1 to OUATIW! Probably my favorite film ever, and in my humble opinion, the best movie ever made! Afro

Agreed on this. Grin

There are two kinds of films in this world:those which stay, even when their genre is forgotten, and those which don't.

I wonder if this will be the number 1 movie on IMDB someday.  Huh

I don't know, The Godfather has a lot going for it. I think it's the greatest American film of all time.

I think Hollywood has criticisms around the world, and The Godfather could be a film where forigen auidences can watch and appreciate it's beauty. That and Citizen Kane.

I do agree that The Godfather is the greatest American made film of all time and leaves Citizen Kane in the dust.

These two films are my best westerns and I am a big western fan. If I were to pick two non-Leone westerns to top the list they'd be Eastwood's "Unforgiven" and "The Hunting Party" with Oliver Reed, Gene Hackman.

Yes we surely can. I think they all deserve a spot, personally. Well, most of them.  Wink

CoR? No. That's the only one I definitely would NOT put on the top 250.
GBU, and FaFDM have enough appeal to keep themselves in tight spots on the list.
Despite poor reviews when released in America, the first and last OUaT have done fine getting on the list. Cool.
FoD, I think, is too small a film to ever be as well recieved on Imdb as any of those four (Embarrassed), even though to some extent I like FoD more than FaFDM.
DYS is an oddball. Too "weird" to be accepted by the film going community as much as even OUaTiA. Oh well. I like it.
My theories: GBU may in fact go down in the future. Same for the OUaT films. I have no doubt in my mind that one day less Leone will be on the list. Hopefully, even if there is less of that, they'll have other good films. Oh well.
