Hello, I just wondered onto this site today and spent a good portion of it scrolling through the older posts...lol. I was wondering if anyone else out there had picked up on how rife the movie is with symbolism from the Hebrew Bible, names, etc...When I first watched the film in fact, I just couldn't get over it, but was interested in the fact that it's not mentioned anywhere here?

I definately think there is some play here on the Biblical story of King David...?  Anyone else notice this?

Apart from the use of some of the names from the Book of Samuel (David, Mo(ses), Nathan) which are inevitable if you have Jewish character's, and a vague "David" Aaronson versus "Goliath" Bugsy, no. They're ain't no Maximillion in the bible neither.
