I never said Germany is going to win and easily at that: in football and at these heights anything can happen. Still bookmakers  see Germany win easily.

It is usually Banjo's task to resurrect this thread. As he didn't I thought it was preferable to let it lie dormant.

Sorry guys.

Other than the dismal quality of my teams(Englands) performance i have enjoyed this tournament.Italy were sensational against the Germans last Thursday and i hope that they go on to win it.

I absolutely can't wait for this Titoli. Both teams are highly technical so it's going to be like a chess game, very tantalising.I'd like to see a few goals but it wouldn't surprise me if we have another goaless game settled by a penalty shoot-out decider. But saying that Balotelli is so unpredictable that he could easily knock in a couple of goals.Hope he gets the golden boot.

On the contrary, I'd be surprised if no goals were scored and we had a penalty shoot-out. I don't think Italy will abide to a chess game: I'm sure they'll try to win the match, even risking to lose it. What Balotelli will do is anybody's guess, as always: he could win the match by himself or botch it. But should Italy win I think it would be Pirlo who fully earned the GB.
But I'm curious about what Del Bosque will do about the striker's role: will he adapt Fabregas in a false position like in the group match or give the jersey to Torres (or LLorente)? Of course in the group match there was the problem of having to adapt De Rossi as central defender, while tomorrow he'll play in midfield as always. So that will pose a big dilemma to the spanish side.
But I'll admit that, anyway, as the rest of the football world, we're all curious about what is gonna be like tomorrow.

Del Bosque said today he's gonna play with three forwards. If he's sincere that means we're gonna watch a different kind of match from what we presumed might have been.

Sorry Titoli.
2-0, 10 vs 11, all you can hope now is a penalty and avoiding a third goal.

Zidane's headbutt was down to nothing but his stupidity.

I hate  one sided finals.Still i guess Spain deserved it. Sad

Are you kidding? You clearly see Materazzi hitting France's best player right in the head with his chest:

Yeah, it was going to be a great game (and the first period was great), but the 2nd goal and the 10 vs 11 thing spoiled the whole thing. Especially since they went close to a "1-1" several times.
Spain deserved something like 2-1, and Italy certainly didn't deserve 4-0.

The fittest won. I would have liked to see the match played next week. Unfortunately in these tournaments you must have luck. Italy had their share in the group stage, when Spain and Croatia didn't agree on a "biscuit". But tonight  the side were down to pieces, with people like Chiellini and Motta who just shouldn't have been there (and I wonder why they were there at all) and half the rest down on their legs. Even England tonight could have got the better of us.

You had your moments during the first period. Spain dominated from a technical standpoint but you could see (during the first period) that Italy wanted the title far more.
