You don't approve of the Italian Stallion,Titoli?
I know what you mean, surely Rocky should be drawing his pension now.Didn't he nearly go blind in Rocky 2 and get brain damage in Rocky 5.
Do we really care?

I did see only the first movie of the series and didn't like it at all. Caught only snippets here and there of the other ones. The only Stallone movies I like are First Blood and FIST and maybe also the one  with Donald Sutherland.
Of course, I don't care a bit. But the news is amazing just the same. Really, left me speechless.

Boo, there's already Rocky VI made in 1986!  Angry

http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt0091865/

Definitely not to be confused with any of Sylvester Stallone's efforts, this is a wicked satire on 'Rocky IV', in which Rocky takes on the monolithic Russian fighter Igor - and loses. Kaurismaeki describes the film as "my revenge on Mr.Stallone, who I think is an asshole".

Thats got to be wrong because Rocky 5 was made around 1990 because i saw it with the Brighton & Hove Albion football lads after the game.
First Blood is ace,but i haven't seen FIST,Titoli!

Apparently, there might be a Rambo IV as well. I think there's a better chance Stallone could take the Rocky character someplace interesting for a movie, but I can't say the same for Rambo.

The original Rocky remains one of my favorite movies, and I'd say First Blood is his second best.

I like Stallone, but I think some of his choices over the years has hurt him. I've always thought he could have had a career as respected as DeNiro's had he not went the way he did (the Rambo sequels turned him more into an "action star" along with some other choices).

Yeah, I know 5 was made later.   Smiley

I guess Kaurismäki just got so pissed off after IV that he just reversed the letters to make it VI. And the plot has Rocky losing to the russian fighter while in the IV he of course wins.

And it really isn't a movie... a short film music video is more like it.

But doesn't change the fact that Rocky VI title in IMDB.com is for this and not for Stallone's upcoming movie. Cheesy (well, atleast it is now, no idea how they'll change it)

Maybe they'll drop Rambo into Iraq or Afganistan to lynch Bin Laden and his buddies. That'll get the rednecks punching the air in the theatres, hehe!

Gee, this must be the Year of the remakes/sequels. They're doing another Die Hard, they're doing another Rocky, they're doing another Rambo. What next? reshooting GBU?!

I suppose they'll just be throwing 'em on the pile with King Kong, Lost In Space, Starsky & Hutch, Dukes of Hazzard, Mr. Magoo, and the possible A-Team remake. Not to mention all the Jaws sequels, etc.

Man, would Hollywood ever do something original again?

Still, Stallone says he's in better shape now than he was in the first Rocky. If that's true, it should be good. What they need is a good story, not just another fight...

Indiana Jones 4 is going as planned I believe.
Who cares anyway, Rocky was always lame and cliched.
