Plenty of spine-tingling moments provided here thanks largely to Morricones beautiful and incredibly moving score. The title score is tremendous starting off with the church organ, turning into the vicious guitar riffing and finally shifting into the wonderful vocal talents of Edda Dell'Orso but i like even more the gentler arrangements of the theme later on in the movie and also the folk dance music in Bennets Raiders mountain hideout!!
Does anyone know if Edda Dell'Orso was used in sw's outside of Morricone?
Poll runs for 14 days!!

I've got the soundtrack of this one on CD as part of a Morricones 2CD Western Quintet of five soundtracks-great value!!
As much as i like the addictive whistled Il Penguino and exhilarating title theme-just two tracks on the CD apart from the electric guitar reprise of Il Penguino the rest of the soundtrack is mainly forgetable-so i say only "very good"
I'll give you 14 days to cast your votes!!

It don't matter what I say, I'll dub it later.

I give it a "good". As much as I love the movie, the score is not one of my favorites.

Very good because of the title song.

Fantastic score, And i adore all the themes including the love theme. It has a kind of sense of doom which resonates through it.
Has anyone noticed that Silenzio falls off his horse near the end of the opening credits. This always seemed like a portent of what follows.

i'm with joe on this one. i do love the music when berger rides over the desert to stop the 'mob' killing volante and milian.

That could just be cannon fire.
