The instrumental version of the theme song is fine.  But the lyrical version . . . (You asked for it, my long-awaited rendition!  Tongue)

Country that don't need a spring time.
And your green fields with your sagingnawed hair
Oh Ringo!
With his Angel Face!
And the woman who was waitin' for his return

'Cross the canyons he loft
Down the valleys - DEBT!
And he left behind a river of blood
For his life was guide by a cruton
He onwy had a mine to get cold

Rivers, you know how ees da story,
And his lofton twas a presage of death
Oh Ringo!
Had an Angel Face,
But whenever Ringo'd loff, Ringo'd FAAAAAAAAAAAART!

(instrumental part)

Oh Ringo!
Had an Angel Face.
But whenever Ringo'd loff, Ringo'd FAAAAAAAAAAAART!

Thank you, thank you.  I accept cash, checks, or credit card, whatever you feel appropriate.  Grin

the most dependable symptom of a song's popularity is people changing its lyrics which, I remind you, were not written by Morricone exactly as those wrutten and sung by Baez for "Sacco e Vanzetti": were they any better than these?

I'm not too hopeful for a huge response with this one.Titoli,Marco Leone,Indio please help!!!
I haven't watched this for a while but i am very keen on the jokey up-tempo main theme with touches of 2 Mules For Sister Sara and some great scratchy fiddle playing.I don't think its that varied overall so i'll say "good" .

More blasphemers voted for 4 stars than non-blasphemers!!
Are you saying that Morricone hasn't composed more than one "essential" sw score?

no, I am just saying that I dont agree with Silence getting anything higher than a 3. The soundtrack(to me) is a bit stale with the exception of the titoli. And no Morricone has made many essential soundtracks...

Duck you sucker
once upon a time in the west
the good the bad and the ugly
the mercenary
for a few dollars more
the first providence film(possibly)
my name is nobody

I just believe those who voted for it as an "essential" score
did so because it is there fav sw and could not give anything to any aspect of the film lower than perfect. And if that is the case...well, it is unfair.
