"only fair" for The Last Pistolero and Gunfight At Red Sands.

I dont know if I voted for it but I would put the "Last pistolero" in the "poor" section for its soundtrack.

"Gunfight at red sands" is wonderfully cheesy and should be placed as "good".

I know at least a handful of us have now seen this. The score is typical of Morricone during that DYS period but not varied enough for me to earn any more than "good"

agreed. The title theme is excellent, and there are a few renditions of the title theme that are also good but the rest is just filler (especially the Opera music).

Like the music provided for Corbuccis other What Am I Doing or Companeros theres hardly any variety but the jaunty  banjo-like main theme is addictive and enough to earn a "good"verdict for me.

lots of filler in this soundtrack.
The main theme (with the choir singing "sonny" every now and again) is quite good.

it reminded me of "What I'm I doing....?".

no I havent properly seen the whole film yet. I stopped after Sonny was raped by Jed.

I concur. Good story, wonderful banter between the two main characters and great ending!

Yeah you can definately tell that the movies are of the same era for Morricone.I seems to like variations of the same sort of themes in his compositions.

if you havent seen "Bonnie and Clyde" I suggest you go and rent it right now, it is probably one of the best American films  during the sixties along with "Little big man" (for the 70's).

I know the ending, I was just kidding.

But I've never seen it. Next time I'm at Hollywood Video I'll rent it. Thanks Firecracker.
