Can anyone tell me the name of the tune towards the end of the movie, "Once Upon A Time in the West".

The tune is a haunting melody of a harmonica mixed with whistling. It is played at the point when the boys are working on the railroad and proceeds to the end of the movie.

Papa Smurf was kind enough to e-mail me "all songs", but I am specifically looking for the name and artist of that one tune at the end of the move (harmonica combined with whistling).

Thanks in advance for your help!

There are two themes at the end of the movie.
The first one is "Finale" a version of the main theme.
The second one is "Cheyenne's Theme". Do you mean this one as It has whisting in it but no Harmonica.

Thanks for getting back to me. Actually the piece has both harmonica AND whistling. It's my favorite tune in the entire movie. I actually heard it on a local radio station the other day.

Hi Ruger Lady (Interesting nick by the way, though I'm more of a Remington guy myself ;D)

I couldn't quite make out which scene you were referring to, but noticed in your post in the general discussion that it was the music playing during the shootout between Frank and Harmonica. As far as I know this track hasn't been officially released in it's full lenght.

I have what I think is a bootleg of this score, including the track you are looking for. Like in the movie you can hear the young Frank saying "Keep your loving brother happy" and an amazing gunshot at the end, so it's probably recorded from a DVD or something.

The soundtrack is available on CD. I have THE VERY BEST OF ENNIO MORRICONE which contains 5 cuts from the movie including the track you're inquiring about. It's called 'Man With A Harmonica'.

I just received today at work my ultra-expanded 27-track CD of Once/West: C-era una Volta il West, GDM 2062 from www.intrada.com.  Front photo is Harmonica sitting on thefence, whittling, waiting for Frank to arrive.  Back shows Jill and driver in wagon on way to McBain's.

Included with the ultra-expanded CD GDM 2062 are some still photos; one is from the not-used scene where Keenan Wynn and others beat up Harmonica (Sheriff Wynn is watching).
