Got some great news about a new spaghetti from the SW in America board. They had a Castelleri/Nero festival in Germany and the following anouncement was made.

Enzo Castelleri and Franco Nero going to shoot a new SW in Almeria starting this June.

If anybody can pull off a new spag it would be these guys.

i'm SO happy about this, so this will be the last spaghetti western ever made. wonder how Nero's gonna play it.

Yeah, but i reckon people should leave them alone. The old films should stay in the past.

(I'm fine with it if it's an original take on the spagetti western...)

Here's an idea for the story....

This guy, played by Nero, discovers that his family has been killed by a vicious gang, so he sets out for revenge.

Think that will work?

 ;)

Dave Jenkins, Calder Benson, Jim Cooper, Chuck Youngblood. They were all alive until they met you, Frank.

I'm going to Almeria in July.  :o
Maybe I can see some of the actual shooting. Who does know the place of this set, Tabernas dessert or maybe Texas Hollywood? This is the only "working' amusement park for movies. Or maybe the are building a new set?
Any information would be helpfull ;)

Found a German site about this subject.
http://www.christiankessler.de/castellarinero.html

Besides Franco Nero, also playing:
Quentin Tarantino, Dario Argento, John Landis and Joe Dante.

But I can read (and speak) German! Much better than English... But I have to disappoint you, it's about a film club meeting or something, where Nero and Castellari were guests. There's just written, that in July they begin to shoot in Almeria and that Quentin Tarantino, Dario Argento, John Landis and Joe Dante will be actors.

There are a few lines that tells us about the movie. It's only an announcement when the movie is shot and which players are in it. Sorry, I could'nt find any further information at this moment.

The info I have here in Italy is that the cast for this movie (the italian title is "Gli implacabili") is Franco Nero, M. Rourke, F.M. Abraham and K. Carradine. The 4 directors are not listed, but they may get a cameo.
The movie apparently had some difficulties with the financing part, but that seems to be over now. Will keep you posted...
