Mortimer says this to Manko as they wind down their adventure, but how badly does it suck that there was no next time for Mortimer and Manko?   It hurts.

You are right, it and GBU would have made either must see sequils or barring that (since Eastwood left for the USA), just the further adventures of either Col. Mortimer, or Tuco would have been just great, how could that amazing opportunity have slipped away?

You can't picture that happening now, lol.

wonder where mortimer wondered off too.    gets his revenge.  it looks like there could be more things irking the col.  leading the col. & manco spawn more sequels.
perhaps a story that explains how each of these men got to know one other encluding tuco.

if you could choose someone today to portray mortimer who would come close or have the best chance at portraying LVC's role ? who could fill LVC's boots ?    73000 words .  quite a feet to fill.  they don't call you derringdo for nothing.

Not only that, but Angel Eyes has to have been Mortimer's evil twin. It's odd that Monco never remarks on the resemblance, and that when he goes to the Prophet to find out about Mortimer he never mentions the fact that the guy is a dead ringer for his old nemesis.
Or that he never asks Mortimer about it. It's as though he is completely ignorant of the events in GBU (you think?). Hey, maybe Blondie is Monco's twin, evil or otherwise! That would explain a lot........ LOL!

Wallace, Chico and Nino are also twins, as well as Groggy and Pablo Ramirez(Even though Groggy is a gringo). The guys who keep getting shot and spinning around, played by Stefanelli, are also twins.

Maybe Sergio just felt like using the same actors? Grin

I'd rather see a prequel to GBU depicting the criminal adventures of Angel Eyes and Tuco.

As much as I'd love to see sequel's to these great films, I'm kind of happy they didn't happen. No sequel hurt he greatness of these films, and that's what I love about it.
