References to OUATIA in other movies

I think jackie brown has some leone-style shots. that's the only connection I see in any of the movies you've mentioned. I don't see it in carlito's way, goodfellas, casino, kings of new york.

oh, and groggy you should see pulp fiction. do it for roger avery. samuel l jackson's performance is his best of his entire career in my opinion, he IS jules.

I've seen several interviews with QT, and every time I hear/see him speak, I end up wanting to beat the living s*** out of him.  I'm glad he likes Sergio, but his films don't seem appealing.  I have read part of the script for "Pulp Fiction", it seems like a hyper-violent version of "Seinfeld".  I like Samuel L. Jackson, I'll say that, though he's not my favorite actor ever.  But there's no compelling reason for me to see that movie.  Can't stand Uma Thurman either, the most overrated actress ever.

GROGGY: i guess youre complaint with QT is that he can come off annoying. i would imagine that is what u meant? well i dont see that as any excuse not to see PULP FICTION. and i dont think i have ever heard UMA THURMAN being called an overated actress in my life before, because frankly i have never heard her roles being praised ever. with the exception of PULP FICTION as MIA WALLACE, which she deserves that praise.

IIRC (I haven't seen it in a couple of months), "Casino" featured a jewelry heist scene involving a Jewish jeweler, but other than that, I don't think there's really any connection between that film and OUATIA.

QT is the only director who I'm embarrassed when I'm say I'm a big fan. He is actually the reason I discovered the world of film. I saw Pulp Fiction, and said, "That's probably the sweetest movie ever." Then I went on IMDb and everybody was saying what a hack he was, and that he ripped off a bunch of movies. Then I said, I just might want to see some of those movies. And hence, I was born.

Right, the Scorcese movie that reminds me of OUATIA is Gangs off New York. Not sure why, maybe its all the Cinecitta sets.
