I really want to see this film but there's so much negativity about it. There's also a lot of negativity about Django yet Django is one of my most favorite SW's behind the Leone's.

What is so terrible about this film? I would figure that Morricone, Hill, and Kinski would be enough to make the film enjoyable somehow Grin

I said in another topic that I really enjoyed it. Best Hill comedy western with the exception of the 2 trinity and MNIN. And anyway I think that in the end it is you who must decide what is good and what not as opinions are at variance even on absolute masterpieces.

Nobody The Greatest is fab and it gets played in my household more often than some of the more recognised classics of the sw genre.Especially if you're a big Terence Hill fan, Poggle, i say its worth the risk!

Just bought it.  If you like Terrance Hill/Nobody...it's worth it.  Unfortunately Henry Fonda is not in it, and in my opinion it doesn't have the same depth as My Name is Nobody.  However, there is a sweet looking blonde & other humorous characters.

If you salute the work of Nobody/Trinity...you won't rest until you get it.  So get it man!

Note:  I bought the german/english import in PAL format.  You'll need a universal DVD player that can play it (e.g. a $39 Cyberhome DVD 300 works nice).

Cheers,

I didn't like it (please don't hurt me banjo...  Grin ). I didn't find it any where near as entertaining as My Name Is Nobody   and I didn't find the characters anywhere near as endearing (and the female lead, whose name escapes me at present annoyed me a lot.)

This was Kinsky's last SW.

I was reading Leonard Maltin mini-biography on IMDB

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001428/bio

and was wondering what and whom is it meant for. I mean, if you don't know who Kinsky is, is useless, as it doesn't even try to define (I know, it is difficult to do that in a few lines) Kinsky's screen personality and achievements. If you know already, it is superficial at best. Of course it isn't meant for fans. The only thing resembling a critical assessment is this physical description:

Quote
An irascible-looking actor with pale skin, intense eyes, thick lips, and a seemingly stone-chiseled visage,

Now you say: what do you care about what he writes? Right. Still I feel like puking, can you explain why?

I've never seen this movie. Anyone who has could give me a hint if this is worth watching, or a review, or tell me where I could find it?

Thanks in advance.

If you are really interested you should pick up the german 4 disc set of MY NAME IS NOBODY and NOBODY'S THE GREATESTaka GENIUS, PARTNER & DUPE). The movie has a couple of bright spots(Kinski steals the show during his bit at the opening) but the second disc for this film has a 60 minute documentary on the making of the film and the many troubles and scandals that went on during the making of it. The doc is WAY better than the actual film as more was going on behind the camera than in front of it.
