On the other hand, you're judging a movie edited with left overs, since the original cut of the film was stolen during the editing process, if I'm not wrong... And they had no back up.

Your point being?

The man is judging from what he saw.

If you have access to the original print I'd love to see it.

An IMDB friend claims that an alternate video title for this film is Nobody Eats Pizza in Tombstone. Any chance he's telling the truth?

My point beeing:

"Damiani'd directing is not bad, but he has no sense for comedy."
=> not sure we can assert that from the finished product. The movie has no sense for comedy, probably. Damiani, no idea. But you may have seen his other works, I didn't.

So I was defending the man not the movie. Still wasn't stating anything overly important.

Damiani was at best with films about the Italian society, often about the Mafia. His films are often political, but more popular made than those from Francesco Rosi. He used the genres to present his message. His only other western Quien sabe? (1966) is not really a western (some kind of western though), but a film set in the Mexican revolution which is in fact a parable about illegal CIA activities in South America.
