I caught most of the last half of this Audie Murphy flick today and have to say it was a very good AW with beautiful scenic shots. Basically the story of a rookie Texas Ranger and his trials and tribulations on the learning curve. Barry Sullivan does an excellent turn as the villian who takes a liking to the rookie sort of another version of the Old Man & Boy story, would definitely give it a watch again

Harry Keller directed with John McIntire also in the cast.

This is actually the best Audie Murphy Western I've seen (though I haven't seen many) Barry Sullivan is great in it, and it has some amazing landscapes check it out. Pan & Scan with commercials but if you fast forward through them it should be ok to get an idea of it. (he reminds me of Gemma)

Yes, Barry Sullivan really makes this film. And the ending is fab.
