Hi,

Can anyone help with locating a copy VHS or Region 1 DVD of this movie? I read the C'est La Vie DVD R2 copy is only 79 minutes they cut out 15 minutes of the movie. Is this movie worth viewing or owning? I know William Berger is in it.

Thanks!

Two words: sleep inducing.
Yes..Berger's in it...as an outlaw named Lee Calloway...I have no idea why it's titled "Sartana"..except perhaps to fool people.
Great looking, flawless transfer is wasted on a pretty so-so movie.

I liked it. Though this gets low rates at the italian SWDB and a split rating at IMDB. I have to find a german vhs release as it seems it's 20 min. longer than my 74' min. italian dvd release.
It has good narrative rhythm, good actors, good story twists, good music (Augusto Martelli), good shots. Sometime the editing it looks chopped but maybe it is because of the cuts, as said. Only flaw is that, to be the hero, Berger is too easily duped by the gang of bros. (not counting the woman who saves him in the desert). Still this gets from me a 7\10.

The C'est La Vie dvd is now deleted but i picked up a cheap used copy from Amazon and i'd go along with Titoli's thoughts about this one! Afro
