One thing that has always been at the back of my mind is the fact that I couldn't quite cope with how Bronson is dressed up here, expecially the jacket. Was it a piece of tailoring so common in that age? Well, I'm not an Old West expert but still I don't think it ever came to my attention on any old picture a jacket like that. I expect of course all our Old West experts to come up with lots of pix illustrating the matter at hand and prove me wrong.

I think its called a rag coat, basically just what it sounds like a coat made up of rags sewn together, something a poor Mexican/Native American might wear. But don't hold me to that ;-)

I was watching it with someone who works on The Res and she said it was made up from a Navajo blanket or rags, like dear Titoli said Wink

"Dear CJ" said that.
So the Navajo tribesmen used to wear it?

Not strictley limited to Navajos, but any reservation or various wild tribes in closer contact with whites or Mexicans.

Anyway, Harmonica really loves it, 'cause he has been wearing it for some 30 years. Have you noticed that young Harmonica also wears a similar jacket?

And the jacket doesn't look any worse for the wear after 30 years of wearing it out in the wild west.  He must have mended it every night around the campfire, after cleaning his guns, while tracking down Frank.  Or Harmonica just has a magic coat. lol

It lends creadance to the theory that Harmonica is death. Having died as a kid at the hands of Frank, it makes sense that he would be resurrected with the same clothes.

One thing I always noticed was the lines. On the back, it looks like someone put painter's tape on the back and dusted it up a bit then took it off.

Me too. Frank isn't stupid enough to kill one brother and let the other live.
