I'm a llama!

Alright, so a couple of cats from the band Spindrift in LA have been working on a full length spaghetti western movie for a few years now. It's not a parody, it's totally a huge homage to classic spaghettis.

Anyways, the (long) trailer is all cut, and you can see it at:

No relation to the horrible LVC movie "God's Gun".

Looks pretty faithful and cool.

cheers

Unfortunately it looks more to me like unintentional comedy than anything else.  I applaud the guys for trying, but the shot-on-video ambience, combined with other elements -- everyone's dressed up, but impossibly clean -- turned me off pretty quickly.

I mean, there are some pretty glaring anachronisms (the sunglasses?)

But I don't see how anyone as into spaghettis as I am can not be terribly excited about this project.

It's not just a throwaway music video or something... it's an actual movie that's going to see release this spring or summer. I wish I could come up with something this spot-on as a homage.

It looks interesting, but did they make an entire "Western" without any horses, wagons, stagecoaches, or trains?

Also, some of the costumes are pretty good, but a number of the hats make the characters who wear them look more like Lynyrd Skynyrd roadies than residents of the American Wild West.

I had the same problem except I just let it be and load and load and load and then after a very long time it finished. ;D So I'd just advice you to wait and wait and just wait some more until it's done. ;D

I'm not exactly sure what is happening with it, but it seems as if it's not loading the video at all at first... Atleast after a long time of waiting the progress bar of the quicktime clip finally showed up and it started at 0 even though I had kept the thing loading for a long time already.

ok finally saw the trailer. It takes about 15 minutes to download.

I have mixed feelings on it. I dont want to be over critical because I realize these arent professionals we are dealing with here. But the "too clean" look was a turn off, I didnt think it would be, but it was. That and I dont know what the hell was going on in the trailer at all. First you have a standard revenge plot then you have all these characters with different agendas that you lose track of the preachers story. And the sun-glasses were a bit much. The fake beards, moustaches etc. are a bit embarassing. The music is a spot on spaghetti soundtrack(kodos to the band), though there was one piece where it sounded much to "Rockish".

anyway, now that I have seen it I cannot say I am overly excited to sit through what might be an hour and a half of... that, but it would be nice to have a downloadable copy here just the same. There were some interesting things in it I would like to check out. also That scream scared the hell out of me!!!!!!!
