A difficult choice here. I REALLY wanted to vote for SABATA as it's quite a fun film but I had to consider that Castellari this time out was very creative in his filmmaking style with KEOMA. Creative in a way I'd never seen in his work before regardless of genre. I enjoy SABATA more on an entertainment level but KEOMA has substance and is down right cerebral at times so I had to go with KEOMA.

Another difficult choice. DRAH sets up its story rather quickly and efficiently and boasts well constructed action scenes and a cool rapport between the two main leads. SARTANA opens with about a hundred people being mowed down with guns but never seems to make much sense although I'm sure the story is really just about Sartana trying to secure the gold for himself while at the same time trying to play everyone against each other to wipe out any opposition. Although I sincerely enjoy Garko's magician gunslinger(especially in the sequels), DRAH has my vote.

Big Gundown.
I think from tommorow i'll be able to produce the first league table as by then the results will be in for every sw having "played" 2 matches each.
Every poll runs for a fortnight in case i didn't say!

I like Bullet very much, the only way it would have an edge over TGS is if Milian, or, say Nero had played the Lou Castell part.

It don't matter what I say, I'll dub it later.

interesting. why is that?
just curious is all.

I find BFTG to be a fun, fierce, and tricky roller coaster ride of a movie. As for TGS, I find it to be dull, drab, and highly over rated. The snow's pretty, for sure, but I'd rather rewatch BFTG anyday.

The first black clad (anti)hero has my vote. DJANGO has a lot going for it. An interesting and mysterious "good guy", the gothic atmosphere, the coffin gimmick, a great soundtrack from Luis Bacalov and several startling scenes of violence. The italian version is preferred as it reveals more about the characters than the atrocious english dubbed version. The final scene plays much better, dialog wise, in the italian version. Nothing against BIG GUNDOWN however. It's got LVC in probably his best and most complex role, but it is a political western that has much to say besides the standard good guy versus bad guy schtick so it's deserving of its status as one of the greats but I'd rewatch DJANGO over BG any day strictly for entertainment value alone.
