I thought this idea would be fun. Let's just say the year is 1968 and you're the casting director for OUTITW. You want to make a suggestion to Sergio Leone on which actors ( remember the year is 1968! ) should play the parts.

I know it's almost impossible to imagine anyone else besides Bronson, Fonda, Cardinale, Robards, and everyone else but give it a try.

James Coburn as Cheyenne Cheesy

Brigette Bardot as Jill.

Blasphemy!  No one can replace Claudia Cardinale.  She is perfect as Jill.

I do like your idea of Coburn as Cheyenne, but Robards is excellent in the part.  As for the others, I'll have to think about it.

For the suprise factor, how about Tom Hanks as Frank?  There'd be that same shock value upon his first appearance.

Blasphemy perhaps but I am not really taking this seriously. Its all in the name of good fun.
Tim you cannot pick Tom Hanks(though it is a good try) the year is 1968. Hanks was a small boy or a teenager.

I would've picked John Wayne as Frank but he would never have done it.

Jimmy Stuart, or Gregory Peck probably would have worked as Frank (same shock value), Sofia Loren as Jill.

I think peck or stuart would have worked well as Frank  and Fonda would have been fine as Morton Loren would have been passable as Jill and Coburn as Cheyenne but I like the Wayne idea as Frank hardest part is Harmonica and I keep thinking about Wallach it would have been miles away from a Tuco type role but seeing his non western movies I think he could have given it a good shot.
BUT AND THE BIG BUT
Leone got it right the first time.

Now if we are talking remake
I would look at the following

Harmonica   Wes Studdi
Frank           Tom Hanks
Jill                Zeta Jones
Cheyenne   Daniel Day Lewis
Morton        Ken Stott

now I can sit back and await the howls of derision.

Oh and to get rage up even further

Director   Tarantino (but with man with no name holding a gun to his head) to stop any messing with this hallowed movie

I agree with Zeta jones as jill and Hanks as Frank.

Tarantino as director? most certainly not.

Ann-Margret as Jill, pants down, or I mean, hands down.  She was so hot, so smoldering back then, remember the 1966 "Stagecoach"?  How about George Kennedy as Cheyenne?  Paul Newman as Harmonica, he was great with Kennedy in Cool Hand Luke.  I think Bronson looked a little too old for the Harmonica character in the film.  Assuming young Harm was about 12 when Frank hung his ever-lovin' brother, that puts Frank at least 20 years older than Harmonica, but in the film if Frank is 50, Harmonica looks older than 30 for sure.  And I'm not sure it would've taken Harmonica 12 or more years to find Frank once he turned 18.....I think Eli Wallach could've made a nice Cheyenne...

Donald Sutherland in 1968?  No, I just don't see that, not the right guy for that part.
