Watching Blondie walk out of the dust created by the dynamite explosion with Morricone's "For a Fistful of Dollars" playing.  I get goose bumps everytime i see it.

I must concur, though I love the opening confrontation between Joe and the Baxters ("Get three coffins ready . . .").

That, too, is also one of my favorite scenes, cigar joe.  It pretty much sets up how much of a badass joe(had a mix-up with Blondie-Joe in my first post) is.  It let's you know that this isn't your regular "Hollywood cowboy" either.

THE OPENING IS ABOUT AS GOOD AS ANYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN.

BUT THE ENDING IS ALSO GREAT  "remember the heart Ramon....    always aim for the heart"

WASNT THIS WHERE LEONE FIRST USED HIS ROMAN AMPHITHEATRE SCENE

looking back, when joe shot the gunman, leone had his camera positioned behind the shooter. somthing never done in hollywood.  rather than have an issue w/ leone about camera positions eastwood says he just let it go.

that  scene changed everything.  to borrow a phrase from cigar joe "spaghettiesque" was born.

When Marisol met her son and her husband during the exchange, Joe seemed first ready to help them and Fabianito.
Suddenly when Ramon approached he changes his mind and ask the desesperate family to quit.

it's a strong scene, very emotional .

A lot of great moments in this movie. It's almost too hard to pick just one.

But I've always been partial to the "Get three coffins ready" scene.

Got to be "Get three coffins ready" scene.  I like the "Shoot for the heart Ramon" scene as well.  I also enjoy the "The Gringo is asleep I imagine..." barrel roll scene too
