Ive seen Death Race 2000(cut version), Coffy, and Foxy Brown.

also have seen "The Arena"(Pam Grier), "Woman in cages" and a wee bit of "Sheba Baby". All terrible. Grin

Pam Grier is one sexy momma though. Wink

I've seen a bit of FLOWERS & FLESH. You thought DEATH RACE 2000 was terrible? A remake is in the works executive produced and starring Tom Cruise of all people under the title DEATH RACE 3000. COFFY and FOXY BROWN are true classics of the blaxploitation genre. The Shaw Brothers remade COFFY in 1976 as THE SEXY KILLER featuring even more violence, nudity and sleaze but still managing to incorporate some decent characterization into the mix. WOMEN IN CAGES is the third and worst of a trilogy of films that began with THE BIG DOLL HOUSE and followed by the best and most fun THE BIG BIRD CAGE starring Pam Grier, Sid Haig and former Price Is Right girl Anitra Ford and perennial filipino actor Vic Diaz.

no I meant "woman in cages", "the arena" and "sheba baby" were terrible.

Also I really want to see "private parts"(not the howard stern one) from the same director as Death Race 2000.

Colt: Have you ever heard of the "Coffin Joe" series. That is right up your alley.

Yes I have. The trilogy is BIG DOLL HOUSE, BIG BIRD CAGE(the best. Lots of comedy, naked girls and action) and WOMEN IN CAGES.

Never seen any of Jose Mojica Marin's films but have read much about them. I almost bought that coffin box. I did however buy the coffin box for the BLIND DEAD films a few months back. Have you seen those?

havent seen them, but I do pass by the blue underground's coffin box set every once in awhile at the local Best buy.
They just seem like average zombie films that come out of the sea...not very interesting. and with a price tag of 70 dollars I stay away from it.

I've seen Foxy Brown, Also not on the list but should be "Sweet Sweetback's Baad Asss Song" (1971) with Melvin Van Peebles.

Only one of the films feature them at sea on a ghost ship although the fourth film  they sacrifice women to a god of the sea from inside a cave. The first two are definitely the best. The first is one of the scariest horror films you're likely to find especially that soundtrack. It sends chills up my spine nearly everytime I hear it. A soundtrack CD is desperately crying out. Obviously John Carpenter had to have seen the second and third entries as shades of the fog are present in both. They are definitely the most original zombies following NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, another classic that belongs in any serious horror fans collection.

70 dollars  is still a little steep for my wallet. Especially for films I havent seen.

Trust me if I had the cash to spare I would buy every horror film I am not sure of.

I only paid 60 for it from xploitedcinema and I had already seen them all even though two of them had additional footage I hadn't seen at least not in good quality.
