The meeting at Salas de los Infantes (organized by Diego Montero), marking the 40th anniversary of the (filming of) GBU, was really fantastic. Aldo Sanbrell and Frank Brana attended and gave the occasion a real boost. The celebration began with a local orchestra, which played various pieces of music from Ennio Morricone - a very nice start . . . On the last evening, an estimated 800 people watched the GBU on the big screen at Sad Hill cemetery! It was really something special. One of the two harmonica players (Domingo Contreras) seen in the Betterville prison camp scene also gave a few annecdotes and played a little music. The locals really rallied behind the celebration. Congratulations to Diego and the locals at Salas!
