Rub me the wrong way, and I'll go off in your face

By "non-Leones" I assume you mean other westerns? If that's the case, then yes, I do have a certain level of appreciation for the "American" western. But a while back I rented Once Upon a Time In the West, and I became instatnly awed by his directing style while other members of the household riduculed and snoozed through it.

well no. You mentioned spaghetti westerns and I was asking if you have a collection of other spaghetti westerns. Not just the Leone ones.

sorry for the confusion. :(

"It's so slow!" They all stated in rather strongly opinionated voices. "All the movie was centered upon close-up shots of each characters facial expressions!"
Nonsense! I told them, but they wouldn't have it. I even showed the movie to my father and he stated that he would never view another Leone movie again. :o Such a shame...

mmm...perhaps you should put "For a few dollars more". If they cannot sit through that, then there is no hope for them.

I also noticed Leone's constant references to Judas in his films ( Tuco: " even when Judas hanged himself there was a storm. " Cheyenne: " Judas was content with 4790 dollars less. " ). I guess that could add to religious allegory.

The whole end of FOD is "biblical":

The last supper
Saving Marisol, Jesus, and Jose(Jose, right?)
Blondie betraying the Rojos(Even though he eventually becomes the "crucified")
Blondie, well, "being crucified"!
"Resurrecting" and coming out of a cave

"Resurrecting" and coming out of a cave

Oh yes. That's right, I forgot about the resurrection.
