Does anyone have any info on the venue for the forthcoming Morricone concert? How big, layout etc.. The last concert I attended was when he played at the Royal Albert Hall which was excellent.

Me too! If only he could come somewhere in North America, I'd be there.

That's a good question. I highly doubt it though. How many people if you randomly asked who Morricone was would respond " Oh yeh! He made the soundtrack to all of Sergio Leone's films! Let's not forget those classic spaghettis like A Pistol for Ringo and My Name is Nobody! "

Well, I would. But I'm not a random person in the street am I?   Grin

You are probably right about random North Americans who generally don't show much interest in non-anglo countries' artists. Except! Here in Québec.  Where Leone and Morricone have a large following. Leone was well aware of this when he casted native born rock singer Charlebois in his forgettable «Genius...» film. In Montréal, Ennio would play to sell out crowds, to be sure.

I still wish Morricone would come over here to do a concert. It be great if he did it in Manhattan, I could take the train into the city easily.
