Saw it Saturday it was great.
two things i niticed :
1. mike gets knocked, passes out drunk, or druged
    how manny times
2. manny scenes had steps like the gym, ray dyker's
lot's of steps. strange for L.A.

that mickey spallaine sure can write.

Yeah, the steps, that's a good point. It gives LA a kind of SF feel, making everything strange.

I've never liked the actresses in this film, which kind of spoils it for me....

If you mean the one playing Velma, I agree. But the other one playing the villainess is perfect.

I've had a look around. It seems that the R1 version released by Image seems to only have an English Mono soundtrack. No subtitles listed. Sorry  :-[

va-va-voom  :o i thought velma was hotter than hell as were
some of the other babes situated around the pool.  a little chunky, but that's how sex was  in those days. arf-arf ! gaby rodgers, no dice   :o

back to poolside that card game sugar smallhouse and
charlie max were playing. nick dennis was nick dennis.

Kiss Me Deadly (1955) - 6.5/10
It's nice but nothing special IMO. I didn't like the whole uranium thing. The end was obvious influence for Lost Highway, though.
